Pre-Implantation Genetic Diagnosis: Should Our Laws Allow Parents to
Pre-Screen Their Children?

The use of pre-implantation genetic diagnosis (PGD) to prevent
miscarriage is on the rise among couples. Utilizing this technology,
however, to not only prevent miscarriage but to avoid implanting embryos
with genetic abnormalities raises potential ethical and legal
implications. The article examines the changes to society that may
occur from the application of PGD to prevent Downs Syndrome. full article
