Art influenced by the biological sciences can, on the one hand, help foster an acceptance of biotechnologies. On the other hand, it can also help people understand the limitations of the much hyped biotechnologies. It can also help us confront the social implications of our biological choices, and be skeptical of where bioscience is taking us. Art can shape our expectations of science and help us clarify what we want out of our technologies.
