Rosario Isasi

Rosario Isasi is an attorney specializing in health and human rights, particularly with regard to the new human genetic technologies. She is currently a Postdoctoral Fellow for the Centre de Recherche en Droit Public (CRDP), Université de Montréal. Her research interests focuses on the ethical, social and legal implications of reproductive and genetic technologies and public health. She has a particular interest in genetics and developing countries. Rosario Isasi is a member of the Advisory Board of Global Lawyers and Physicians, a transnational professional association of lawyers and physicians working together to promote human rights and health. Ms. Isasi had participated in NGO briefings to the UN Ad Hoc Committee on an International Convention Against the Reproductive Cloning of Human Beings, and has been an invited speaker and writer throughout North and South America, notably on global policies on the new human genetic technologies. She holds her J.D. from the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru ('92), where she served as a health law counselor. She received her Master of Public Health from Boston University, USA('02).
