Christina Bieber Lake is Associate Professor of English at Wheaton College, in Wheaton, Illinois, and author of The Incarnational Art of Flannery O'Connor. Her primary interests lie in contemporary American literature, African American literature, and Southern literature. As a part of her research, she has been investigating fiction's response to posthumanism. She holds a Ph.D. in English from Emory University, a master's degree in English from Emory University, and a bachelor of arts in English from Princeton University.
